Your teeth will be cleaned with a combination of hand scalers and ultrasonic scalers, followed by a final clean with a Prophy-Jet. The Prophy-Jet is an air abrasion polishing system that combines water and sodium bicarbonate to remove stains and debris from teeth, which is the most effective system to clean your teeth and gums.

An important aspect of the hygiene appointment is to show you how to look after your teeth so they remain free from plaque. You will be advised on the best brushing technique and given tips on flossing and using interdental brushes.
